I'll Be Seein' You

Well, I'm all settled in my new place. It's not the most glamorous apartment in the world, but it's rather nice and it's mine. Everything's unpacked, believe it or not -- Sam was really lovely helping me out. She even bought me a house-warming gift. It's an awesome framed photograph of Bettie Page. She really is my biggest role model. I put it right above the television. Sam also was so nice as to buy me a new microwave since my last one caught fire. It was ancient.

Anyway, I'm really loving it here. I talked to Dad on the phone this afternoon. We mostly speak in English because Mom doesn't understand it very well. I'm surprised I don't have some psychological disorder because of all the issues with her..
